About a Chief in My Village

I am from a west province in Cameroon. There, when a chief dies, the successor is found in the royal family. The chief is guarded by notables. After nine weeks, the people see their chief.

Coming to the USA

In my country, the population gathers a lot in meeting rooms, and others in the church. Here in the USA, everyone is different. This is why I enrolled in school to learn English. Coming to the U.S. was a dream for me.

My Culture is Taro

I eat taro, a root vegetable. I’m learning English. I like it. It’s not easy. It’s difficult. The first day that I arrived in the U.S., I was very happy. I saw a big change.
