3 Carnitas
Ingredients
- 8 pounds of pork shoulder
- 1 orange
- Half an onion
- 6 garlic cloves
- 1 cup of orange juice
- 1 evaporated milk
- 1 Coca Cola
- 2 Tablespoon of salt
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 pound of lard
Steps
- Cut the pork into cubes. Fry in lard with in a heavy bottom and flat pot.
- Once all sides of the pork are brown add the other ingredients and bring to a simmer.
- Cook for approximately an hour. Remove meat and let drain on a wire rack.
- Pull or chop up to serve.
